What to look for in 2012
In my last post I talked about 2011 and all of the good and not so good things that occurred here at our firm. Today’s post will give you a sneak peak into the future so that you can gain a better understanding of what we do and where we plan to go with our services. I think it is important for firms to be clear in their strategy and action and we will always try to do so here at Ryan Search & Consulting.
Our firm focuses on three unique service offerings and that will not change in 2012. Here are those core service offerings:
- Retained Executive Search
- Leadership Consulting
- Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)
We will also continue to focus on the same core business markets:
When I got started in late 2010 most of the work we did was done solely by me. Mid year in 2011 I invited Michele Christy to join me and then later in the year we added Kathy Berhow to the team. Both of these professionals work primarily in our executive search practice and they provide a great deal of knowledge and expertise in this area.
I have been blessed with a fairly good ability to communicate well with others and I have used this for many years as a speaker or trainer in front of groups across the country. This will not change in 2012 and it is my intent to speak to as many groups as I can. Here are some of the topics I have covered over the past 5 years:
- Technology in Talent Acquisition
- Succession Planning
- Workforce Planning
- Self Awareness
- Emotional Intelligence
- Developing Future Leaders
In many respects, 2012 will resemble 2011, but it is my intent for 2012 to be bigger than 2011. My long term goal is not to have the largest firm in the search world, but it is my intent to have a firm that provides a high level of service at a value price point. That is our niche.
I see the search world as one that is crowded with many firms that focus primarily on price and not on service. My goal is to provide a very high level of service and to partner with our clients so that they see us as an indispensable partner in our work.
I wish you the best in 2012 and I invite you to reach out to us if you have questions or needs in the areas where we work. We look forward to an opportunity to be of service!
